ACT Rail Solutions provides 24/7 staffing and operational support to the rail and construction industries across the UK.

The business supplies skilled and multi-skilled workers for rail, civils and construction projects, including safety-critical and track staff, skilled trades, vegetation management teams, plant operatives and IRATA-qualified workers.

ACT Rail Solutions was set up in 2026 by Jeff Sykes, who brings 27 years of experience working on rail infrastructure from both the client and contractor sides of the industry.

The business is designed to respond quickly when contractors need additional people, including at short notice, as well as providing temporary and contract personnel for planned projects. ACT Rail Solutions has also recently passed its first RISQS audit.
