Caffè Rosso – the coffee shop hidden by Wigan Lane’s giant scaffolding
Caffè Rosso is a cosy, independent café-bar nestled on Wigan Lane, currently hidden by giant scaffolding, but very much open for business, offering a cosy, homely space, and serving up coffee and smiles.
This cafe is run by Will and Steve, and is home to the finest home-made cakes, scones and sandwiches, Mancoco artisan coffee, Cheshire Farm ice cream, a selection of tasty freshly prepared rolls and Panini’s, amongst other quality food, including Afternoon Teas.
There are vegetarian and gluten-free options available.
Caffe Rosso is just a 5 minute walk from Wigan Infirmary, at the top of Wigan Lane, and although it is currently hidden by giant scaffolding (which should be coming down soon), the staff are still serving up coffee, cakes and smiles.
There is outdoor seating, a ‘lodge’ at the back if you want a quieter option, and free Wi-Fi, and it’s fully licensed—so you can enjoy a glass of prosecco or a cocktail with your lunch
